I am alive.

Apologies for the lack of updates but im happy to report thats theres been no real time for internet in the past two weeks! Cant believe that this time tomorrow ill be on the plane home. Since my last update weve conquered a respectable 5 volcanoes, been white water rafting, zip wiring across canyons, befriended sloths and so much more. Dont worry, forced myself into the habit of a diary so will bore you all to death with a day by day account when I return. Sad to leave but missing Blighty a bit now. See you all very soon.

Now for 6 volcanoes in 5 days...

Project phase complete! Brilliant experience, language barrier with the kids was broken down by the universal language of football and the community was really warm and appreciative. Now for the hard bit, although the light at the end of the tunnel in the rest and relaxation phase, is in sight now. Another rushed entry as we're off again, up at 5 tomorrow for the 'easiest' volcano!

Project phase

Heyup,
Won´t have internet for a few days now, off on the project phase in Leon, where we´ll be helping to build a local school, so a lot of manly construction work and some painting. Done a lot in the last few days, which seem to stretch on forever, can´t believe it´s only day 5. Climbed two volcanoes, showered under a waterfall, gone fishing, seen a bull fight, played pool.. and i´ve definitely missed stuff out! Having an amazing time. Momentus occassion today, first change of t-shirt and boxers, thought you´d like to know. Off on one of 2 bus services to the village today, both driven by the same man so better not miss it!

Arrived!

Have arrived in Nicaragua after a gruelling 25 hour round trip. Will keep this short as bed is looking very welcoming, but flights were fine, other than Kenward being strip searched for two hours in Miami due to his Iranian heritage.. Anyway, swelteringly humid here, only touched down about two hour ago and straight off to bed for far too early start tmrw morning.

Adiós amigos!

Well that's the extent of my Spanish vocabulary used up in the title. That and 'Una cerveza, por favor' (a beer, please.) But anyway, i'm off to school in 40 minutes for 'build up day' where hopefully they will pack my rucksack slightly better than the potpourri (word for the day) of equipment that it currently contains. Haven't quite worked out the maths of wearing 3 t-shirts over 28 days but apparently it involves a strange concept of washing clothes myself?!
Ok well i'll endeavour to update this when I locate some sort of civilisation/ internet cafe on my trip, but bye everyone, thanks to everyone who sponsored me and see you all in 4 weeks!
